What Is Brevo?

Brevo, formerly Sendinblue, combines transactional email, marketing campaigns, and automation in a single tool. A business can send order confirmations and password resets alongside newsletters and promotional campaigns without juggling separate services.

At HA Web Studio, we use Brevo when a business needs both reliable transactional email and ongoing marketing communication, without paying for and managing two entirely separate platforms.

When Brevo Fits a Project

Brevo makes the most sense for a business that genuinely needs both sides of the platform — operational messages triggered by user actions on the site, and ongoing marketing sends to a contact list. If a project only needs transactional email (order confirmations, password resets, contact-form notifications) and has no marketing-email requirement, a transactional-only tool like Resend is usually a simpler, more focused fit. Brevo becomes the better choice once a client also wants to run newsletters, promotional campaigns, or automated follow-up sequences from the same contact data the site already collects, since managing that in a separate marketing tool means keeping two systems and two contact lists in sync.

In practice, this comes up most often for businesses past their earliest stage — once there's an actual customer or lead list worth nurturing, not just individual transactional messages going out one at a time. Integrating Brevo typically means connecting both the transactional sending API for triggered messages and the marketing side for list management and campaign sends, so both halves of the platform are actually put to use rather than paying for capabilities that sit idle.
